1985, charcoal on paper, triptych: 38 x 50" each
final drawing project, freshman year

once i had a dream, and in it i went into a curio shop,
and saw a ten- or twelve-panel framed comic about cats.
each panel was radically different from the one before,
the whole thing had the most incredible diversity, yet also coherence.
something terribly metaphysical about it. coolest thing ever.
everyone was running, something big and shiny was happening outside,
so i thought, "Oh I'll just come back and look at this later..."

this was my effort at capturing something of that: bookends on a quantum floop.
twitchy chiller on the right becomes ganked queryist at left, occasion of hearth.
is ejected out the chimley into generalized array plane, w/deeper epony-morphal stormal on horizon
then back to the title page and who-me, et repete.
